To suppress a coal mine fire can be achieved by using a high flow inert gas generator

To suppress an coal seam fire, we developed, the Steamexfire, it is an inert gas generator, suitable for inertising of enclosed spaces, for example a coal mine.
This inertisation device that produces a mixture of combustion products with water vapour and steam, with a minimum content of oxygen at a temperature of approx. 80° to 90° Celsius. In simple words, it’s a generator that produces very large quantities of inert gas.

The Inert Steamexfire takes away two of the three elements of the fire: oxygen and heat.
Steamexfire systems can suppress fires in enclosed environments like:
  • Coal mines.
  • Container ships.
  • Tunnels.
  • Warehouses.
  • Etc.
underground mine fires
Advantages:
  • No fire fighting crew needs to be sent inside the affected area.
  • System situated on permanent base possible.
  • System uses 10 times less water than existing systems.
  • Remote operation.
  • Proved success:  Steamexfire killed two major mine fires recently.
  • Available in 3 sizes, Steamexfire 2500, 1000 and 300.
